Has anyone ever experience their ringtones/notifications randomly change to some music as opposed to what you had it set to?

The last couple days, when plugged into usb now that I think about it, my ringtone would change to some song that I have never heard before when a new text/email would come in. I have looked in my music folders and and their empty so I have no idea where this dang song is coming from.

I think this is the SD card that came with the phone (purchased used) so maybe it's somewhere that I've yet to see.

This has happened to me but ONLY when the sd card has been removed. Many of my contacts ringtones are on the sd card, and when that is removed the phone randomly assigns something to it. All is fixed again when the sd card is reinserted and the phone is rebooted. Never had it happen in other instances, but my wife's D2 never plays the correct ringtone.....ever. It's not even rooted. It's a warranty replacement refurbished model and I hate it. Can't wait till her upgrade date to get her a decent phone with an unlocked bootloader.

I hope I figured it out. There was a music folder on the device memory (very strange since I thought a wipe cleaned out everything) with a ton of music on it. I cleaned that out and we'll see how it goes from there.

Call Verizon tech customer care and explain your situation. How may replacements have you had?
I have had more than three. First they had offered me a different device, then found out they don't have the door to it and won't for awhile. I have been with Verizon for many years and they offered me an early upgrade to make-up for the issue. I was pleased with the solution to my problem and will have my new phone tomorrow. Be nice when you call them. So many people are rude and that just isn't being respectful or professional. Good luck.
