Hi, i replaced the digitizer on my vivid now it seem to shut down randomly. The random shut down became less frequent when i replaced the battery with a 3850MAH battery. Now it mainly shuts down when i take flash pictures. When turning on the phone it would stay on for about 10 seconds and continue this loop around 5 times. it had also shut down on fm radio with wifi and when using 4g lte and when using the phone immediately after it turns on. The phone will work fine without any problem if the phone is charging.
info on phone that might be relevant
The only app i have that start with the phone is battery app that indicate percentage remaining.
digitizer is loose because i dont have adhesive strip to tape it to the lcd yet
i've been watching the battery temperature and its at 75-80 F which is ok for the phone ( it should not exceed 131 F)

thanks for you respond

Sounds like a faulty piece of hardware in the battery control system; you're sure it never shuts down while plugged in? My experience with phones is limited, but this type of problem in a laptop often comes from an overheating chip somewhere. Is your phone overclocked? Have you checked your CPU temp?

Just watched a video showing how to replace the digitizer, and it looks like the battery compartment has both a wire and a ribbon leading from the contacts into the phone. I'll bet the ribbon took damage during the procedure. Ribbon cables can't take much stress.

Additionally, it LOOKS like the power-in port goes through a different wiring channel, which would further corroborate dying on battery, not on wall power.

yeah i've taken multiple flash photo, made calls , toggle wifi and lte and message and the phone work fine when charging. i've check the cpu usage using elixir 2 app and it seems to jump from 10-70% while the phone is doing practically nothing and having 2 other monitoring app running. I'm not sure if the phone have cpu temp sensor.

the video i watch on doing it is :HTC Vivid Touch Screen or LCD Screen Replacement Directions by durapowerglobal.com - YouTube

I never touched the ribbon but after watching the video again the guy skip from 4:20 to 4:30 without showing that he removed the ribbon that is why i never touched it

i'll reassemble the phone again tomorrow when my adhesive strips come in

thanks
