Randomly rebooting (only when I have no service)

I have had a Verizon GS3 since early July. I pre-ordered on the first day I could, and recently I found out that in my bedroom in my house, it likes to kill the service for some reason. At most I have about 3 or 4 bars and no data. My phone is rooted and running Synergy 1.7, and starting about 2 weeks ago, my phone will always give me an error saying "No SIM", but it only happens when im in my room. And if I leave my phone locked and sitting on the table, it will reboot, and it will continue doing this until I stop it. But it ONLY reboots when it is locked and there is no app running. Does anyone know why it might be doing this? Do I have to do a factory reset? (because if so that gives me an excuse to switch roms :D)

(And to what I have read, the No SIM issue is popular, but for me it only happens when there is no service)

I would try a reset and if that didn't work go back to stock rooted to make sure that it isn't the hardware.

I was thinking of getting a new SIM, but I have read and heard from multiple other people with the same "No SIM" issue that replacing the SIM & device only worked for a few days and then the problems would start again.

Doesn't hurt to try. The sim is free, and I would rather replace the sim than the phone.
