So I've had my Razr for over a month, and it has been perfect so far. Today though, randomly while I was sitting at work, my leg started to feel like it was on fire. I was really confused, but realized it was my phone. I pulled it out, I had no new notifications or anything ongoing, so i just set it aside on my desk. Later I looked at it and it said 15% battery remaining (normally at this point in the day I am still at 60% or so, and I haven't used it at all today besides one email.

Once I saw it was at 15% and still really hot, I figured that's a bit odd, so I turned it off and restarted it. A few minutes later I went to check to see how it was doing, and it won't turn on. I'm guessing it is just 100% dead now, but why was it so hot and draining it's power like that?

Has that happened to anyone else? Is it anything I should worry about? I still have a few hours before I can get home and plug it in so I must wait in suspense to make sure it's ok haha.

An application of some sort opened in the background that was probably using the data connection constantly. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I've had the same issue but I have no idea which app is doing that. I've checked the section where it shows what's using the battery and didn't see anything out of the ordinary there. Only android system and screen but without turning on my phone that often there's no reason for the screen to be draining the battery. I'd love to find out what's draining my battery like this.

Until he gets the bill.

No app I know of would do that. You might have an electrical problem. If you can't isolate the problem to an app quickly, I'd take it back for exchange if possible.

Well i dont really know how to go about telling you what to do about the phone dying problem, but as for the heat problem.....there is this app called cool down phone. It helped me with my overheating issues and it might be able to help you too.
