Thanks for the link. BTW, I seem to now be stuck in 3G today but I am in a strong 4G area... and have been running 4G only now for six months with no problem. Didn't find anything in the manual.

Now this is just a guess, but go into your mobile networks, then under network type select LTE/CDMA rather than it being on global.

Looks like the new ics user manual has been pulled. I downloaded a copy at home this morning, just tried to get it on the laptop here on the island. Link slowly works but the new manual does not now show on the Moto web site. hmmm

Thanks Durango. 4G seems to be working fine now. I did switch to LTE/CDMA right after the ICS update. I think the problem may have been the severe thunderstorms last night. There were a lot of power outages today including my cable internet. Or the severe strain on Verizon from all the ICS downloads? Or maybe it was one of those hiccups that sometimes just "goes away." Thanks again.

Power button + volume down at the same time, hold it for a couple of seconds. Don't hold down for too long, or else you'll soft reset the phone.

Yes, press both power button and volume down button for 3 seconds until you hear the camera shutter sound.
