RAZR Width

I went to the VZN store to hold the phones and I liked how thin the RAZR was, but the width prevented me from using the device one handed (I have small hands). But that was a phone that was attached with one of those thingees to a cord so you can't steal it and I couldn't say how much of a problem the cord and thingee on the back of the phone prevented me from using it one-handed.

Can you use the RAZR one handed and how tall are you if you can or can't (to give me an idea of how big your hands are)?

I'm 6'1" and it's a bit of a stretch to use it one handed, but it can be done. You get used to it. Came from an Atrix before this phone.

5'11 large size gloves as well. Works one handed for me. Well, except for Google Music. I hate that stupid headphones symbol in the upper left hand corner.

It is a bit harder to use my Razr one handed compared to my old Droid X. Now, when I put my Razr in an Otterbox Defender case, the phone becomes a bit thicker and much grippier, making one-handing the Razr much better. However, the Otterbox doubles the thickness and weight of the phone.

I'm 5'3 and have tiny little girly hands (maybe about 6 inches long from the butt of my palm to the tip of my middle finger).

I had a Droid X previous to this and it helped to learn to balance the phone one handed. But it weighed a bit more so I have to relearn to balance this.

Nevertheless, the only time I use two hands with it is for texting and for when I'm using it it in the landscape orientation. It's just something you get used to.

The hardest thing to do one handed is hit the menu button on the bottom left. Other then that no problems at all. Its very light so that helps.

That seems to be quite an interesting problem. The fact is right now, some phones are really big in size. It becomes a bit difficult to use them with single hand. However, as far as the razor is concerned, I have used it with one hand several times. Although it is a bit large but not too large to hold it.

It was one of my biggest complaints at first but I've grown used to it. Now when I use my wife's Incredible it feels too small.

I agree, I can type and select programs all with one hand but I always have trouble hitting the menu key one handed, I'm a righty and I would think a lefty would have trouble reaching the search key. I think it has to do with the fact that it's at the far bottom corner and when you stretch your thumb out for it, you lose grip on the phone and it feels like it's about to fall out of your hand.

I found a technique to hold on to the Razr one handed and have my thumb be able to touch any part of the screen.it includes having the pinky on the bottom.

Yep, that's how I've always done it too.
