1) Where do I go online to see all of my applications? When I switch to the Galaxy Nexus I want to have it re-install all of my apps.

2) All of the holiday's in my calender are duplicated. Anyone know of a fix?

Thanks

Re: Two Questions

1) i think if you go to to market.android.com and click "library" you should find it. This didn't work for me when i got my rezound though. Only paid apps showed up

2) If you have multiple gmail accounts syncing calenders, this could be why

Re: Two Questions

here is your solution

1. Get titanium backup
2. Root your original phone
3. Backup all apps
4. Get gnexus
5. Root gnexus
6. Move the TitaniumBackup folder from the root of your SD card on your original phone and put it in the root of the user storage on the Gnexus via usb (windows will work well with MTP)
7. Get TiBu on your gnexus
8. restore apps (with or w/o app data, careful if you do restore app data)
9. ????
10. profit

There you go, that's how you are going to keep your apps

Re: Two Questions

Ok the link to market.android.com has all of my downloads. Looks like I'll have to re-install them all manually which will be a pain - too bad you cannot do it all automatically.

I only have on Gmail account that sync's with the phone.

Re: Two Questions

I can do the same with MyBackUpPro..

But I don't want to root either device. Is there a one click root for the Bionic and a one click unroot for it?

How about the GNEX?

I'm not really sure how the whole vanilla vs OEM (if thats even the right term) works but I had an OG droid when I bought my Xoom and when I synced my google account for the first time the xoom immediately downloaded all (with the exception of the ones 3.0 didnt support) the apps I had installed on my Droid. Not just the paid ones mind you but all of them. And just the currently installed ones too. When I got my Atrix 4g it didnt do this. Now I've always understood that one of these things is not like the others but never why. Im hoping the nexus will do this too. Any thoughts?

If you can do the same with my backup pro unrooted then i would go that route. Just a tip, when you restore the apps, restore them without data if you can. This will limit problems you will have. I always have issues when restoring any app with data. Just the app works much better.

I cannot get the data unless I am rooted even with MyBackUpPro - it's basically the same as Titanium where if you want everything you have to root.

Its better without data so in that sense your not missing much. Titanium is nice and batches are convenient, but i only use it for apps i cant get anymore. Everything else i download fresh from the market via app list backup.

I can understand your point, but for me I really don't want all of my previous apps coming down to the phone automatically.......Suppose the app doesn't work with ICS, why have it on the phone? Suppose I want to try the stock browser or keyboard first before downloading the ones I have bought? I just don't want stuff coming down to my phone on it's own. Let me select those apps to put on the phone.

I have made a list of the apps I want on there first, and the ones that I might want to download in the future.
More control for me this way.

Actually I can go to the Android marketplace and re-download everything I need.

I'd like it to set up my wifi and ringtones and stuff though.

Who knows this is a new operating system.

That's how I do it. I'm curious, I remember you from the Bionic forums. What made decide on the Galaxy Nexus? You seemed pretty happy with the Bionic and, I didn't think you liked the Nexus phone because of the non-gorilla glass.

I'm very unhappy with the Build quality of the Bionic. It also has significant software bugs.

It's a very fast nice phone but after the RAZR came out 6 weeks later I was very pissed off.

So I looked into swapping it for a RAZR and saw that it's having some hardware and significant screen issues.

So because of all of this research and waiting the reviews for the Nexus came out and it's supposed to be the best smartphone ever.

The glass seems to be up to Gorilla quality and the screen is supposed to be incredible. The Bionic screen has poor color reproduction and the RAZR screen is dim and green. I also hear people are having problems with areas of black showing up in low light situations.

I feel like perhaps Motorola didn't really think both phones through. If they had scrapped the Bionic and made the RAZR a tad bit thicker to put in a better screen it could be perfect. However it looks like they made significant mistakes on both.

The RAZR could easily be slightly thicker with a Samsung quality screen - then I would get it in two seconds.

When I went from the Original Droid to the Thunderbolt, all my apps downloaded when I signed in with my Gmail account. Should work the same.

I'm not sure about this, but if you updated any of the bloatware on your phone, those apps might download too when you sign into your new phone. I'm unistalling all the updates to the bloatware through the market before I sign in for the first time on the Nexus. That should prevent all the crap from being downloaded along with the apps I actually want.
