Galaxy S9+(Android 10) and Galaxy S8+ (Android 9), both on Verizon and on Mazda Infotainment (Official, not AIO Tweaks) and Kenwood DDX9904S.
With the latest AA/Google updates, whenever I have AA read a text, it will also read the text prior to the new one (Even after I have listened to the new one on AA) It also no longer marks the messages as read on my phone.
I have AA set up with access to SMS. (In fact I have ALL the selectable permissions checked in AA) Have tried using different messaging apps: Messages+, Samsung Messages, Pulse, Textra, Android Messages, etc. ALL act the same way.
I can work around the repeat message issue by "clearing all" after each message is read. But I never had to do this before. Also, would be nice if it marked the message as read once it is actually read.
Example of how it goes:
Driving, get text message 1, I click play, AA reads message 1 and I reply
Get text message 2, I click play, AA reads messages 1 and 2, I reply
Get message 3, I click play, AA reads messages 2 and 3
What I do now,
Driving, get text message 1, I click play, AA reads message 1 and I reply, go to the notifications window and "clear all"
Get text message 2, I click play, AA reads message 2, I reply go to the notifications window and "clear all"
Get message 3, I click play, AA reads message 3
I have tried:
-Forgetting all cars and clearing data and cache on the specific apps(AA and Google) and rebuilding the AA/Google setup
-Clearing cache from the recovery menu and doing the above again
-Factory resetting the phones, and doing all the above again
-switching back from Android 10 to Android 9 (By switching back to S8+ on a fresh install - Had to do this anyway as Android 10 broke the ability to send texts via AA)
Would be great if anyone else has found a solution other than going to the notifications window and clearing all just to get a proper conversation via text. Would settle for confirmation that it is not just me and my wife having this issue.
