re-setting or changing the "Guest Mode" password

I'm confused. When I got my new Huawei P8 phone, I discovered a setting that allows for two passwords--one for "guests" and one for me, the "primary user". Supposedly it allows me to limit access to certain apps and info when it's only signed in as "guest".

But I cannot for the life of me find out how I go back to the settings for this function. I can still sign in using both passwords (fortunately I remember them both). But all the instructions I get by googling this do not work with this phone. For example, I'm supposedly supposed to use a two-finger swipe down to enter these security settings. Nope. In fact I can't find anything at all that allows me to customize this function. Where did it go?

"Disabling privacy protection
1 On the home screen, touch Settings.
2 Under All, touch Security.
3 Touch Privacy protection.
4 Enter the owner password, and then touch Next.
5 Disable Privacy protection."

Does this work?

Unfortunately no. I found that sequence online too, but it doesn't match what shows up on my phone. For example, under Settings there is no "All", nor a "Security" heading. Closest I get is Settings>Privacy&Security>Screen lock & passwords. But that doesn't seem to reveal anything to do with the Guest password settings. Lots of features...and it's hard to find them all! This one seems well and truly lost somewhere deep in my phone. :-(

Under privacy and security there should be a security heading. And at the very top of this should it say privacy protection. Touch this and you are there!

Go to dialer. On the right next to the call sign there is a bar. Press and choose privacy protection. Then you should enter the master pin. Next you can customize everything. Hope this will help you.

If your phone has been updated to Marshmallow, the option won't be present any more.

Yeah, it looks like if u upgraded to Emui 4.0 privacy mode they remove it. What a waste

If you are stuck on guest mode press a wrong number in ur lock guest account its gonna say try again slide the screen to ur right then press add wedges and its gonna take you to some place then press home and done ur in ur regular screen oh and if u turn ur phone off its gonna take u back to guest so make sure that once ur in ur regular account make sure u take off guest mode to stop this from preventing

I did this on my gionee p5w and it worked. Go to your phone settings >security settings >geust mode then on the space provided to enter you password leave it empty and double click directly below the blinking cusor. you would see your phone security question give the answer and you automatically exit guest mode.

Not sure where it is exactly in a Huawei with EMUI-skinned Lollipop, but most pure-Android Lollipop phones will have it here:

Settings > General > Privacy > Guest mode or Settings > Users > Guest (or similar)

Once there, choose your main/Google account from the list.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to do a factory/hard reset unfortunately, which will lose all your saved data, texts, etc. - so only do as a last resort:
