Read only SD Card

I am getting Read only notifications on my Evo. I have used this SD card for almost 9 months. It came out of my old OG Droid. Any ideas on how to fix it? I have already searched the forums several times and found nothing.

I have already done the obvious and pulled the battery 4 different times as well as remove the SD card and inspect it. It is in pristine condition. There also has not been any water damage to the phone. Also no overheating either. I do have a rooted phone through unrEVOked. I am not running any Rom besides the one that HTC provided before the 3.70 OTA release.

Any constructive imput would be much appreciated. Thank you very much

It usually throws up the read only sign when I try downloading a podcast on Doggcatcher

Just a thought. Could be you SD card is playing out.

Playing out? Do you mean shelling out?

I cleared the cache twice and rebooted it 3 times. Then deleted thumbnails from DCIM. Everything is golden for now.

It started happening to me yesterday, took the card out, slapped it in the PC, copied everything to PC, formatted card, put back in phone, connected via USB, transferred everything back, all fixed now. Funny thing was 1 file couldn't transfer so I deleted it which was the new Foursquare update, got a feeling that was the cause of it.

I thought I would add that I am having this problem on my HTC Droid Incredible with an 8 gb sd card. I don't think it is the 32gb thing.
