I've had this issue with one phone number on android. We both have read receipts turned on. But if sometimes messages get stuck, to reset it I go to phone directory and click to message that phone number from there, instead of through the messaging app. At this point if I send a message it does work, but says not DELIVERED, but message RECEIVED. I can only see if message is read with delivered. SO then each time I send message to that person it gets stuck on RECEIVED function. Any advice on how I can fix this, so messages will say delivered and then read?
I've tried everything: clearing cache, space , switching off phone....
