I know that there is a way to read kindle books on a rooted NC. Is there a way to read them on a non-rooted NC?

I don't believe so, i think rooted-stock is the closest you can get (root 1.1, and install the kindle app)

I don't believe you'll be able to read a Kindle book on an non-rooted nook due to the fact that B&N uses different formats for their ebooks than Kindle does. You'll have to root in order to have an app on the device to read a Kindle book!

Try using the e-calibre program to manage your library. With some searching and reading you can find out how to read a Kindle book on your Nook

most of the kindle books are encrypted, so you'll have to break that first before you can use calibre to load it on

Need root to get the Android Market. From the market grab the kindle app.

It's what I did--all my books are in Kindle and I wouldn't have gotten the Nook if I couldn't root as use the Kindle App.
