Realistic increase in radio performance through kernal work

what is the theoretical increase in performance that we could expect through kernel/radio firmware updates? i love the phone but am worried about radio performance for 3g and voice calls. i live in an already hostile cdma environment (remote mtn region) and cannot suffer less reception than i get from my Dinc2, which was already worse than the Dinc i had

we wont know until the next radio update, so all we can do is wait. I recommend you hold on from purchasing it.

My friend brought it at work today and he had almost full bars at 4g, so I can't comment about mountain region so I suggest again you try it out yourself. You have until 15th of jan to return it. I am sure Android 4.1 with new radio update will be out by than already, since P3Droid has been talking very highly of it. Things like we will like it 100% more.
