Thought this would be a helpful topic to others thinking about getting the g3.

My reasons.

The button placement on the back. Before i got the g2 i wasnt so sure so i went to the store to get a feel of it and it just felt comfortable and meant to be so the g2 was my next phone and now here i am g3.

The screen and phone size. I feel 5.5 is a good size for a phone, i also like how lg make the screen fit in a good sized phone.

The ui, when i first looked that the ui on the g2 at the store it felt so much easier and simple to navigate. Plus the customization features are great. So i fell in love with it since then.

Basically all my reasons are because of the g2. I loved the g2 so i had to get the g3.

very happy z10 owner missing screen size and don't like amoled so z30 was out. The screen on the g3 is amazing and the phone easily rooted allowing removal of all unnessasary bloat and apps. Not an app hound and not tied into social media or googles ecosystem. Just about everything I had on the z10 was available. Lg's ui is not hard to live with. Garbage removed phone flys and battery life very good. Phone does everything I need it to do very well.

Already had the M8 and S5 and wanted something new. This has been my favorite of the 3.

Had the Sammy S4 and HTC One. The S5 and M8 wasn't different enough for me. Plus the screen and build on this thing is brilliant. The battery is also excellent in standby mode...

One handed operation is easier than note series.
Bigger screen on g3 vs s5.
Better radio signal than Samsung.

Wanted something different to have along side my Z2.

I thought of the M8 but two issues the nano sim, and the camera.

The S5 wasn't even a thought.

Oppo & One plus were however you have to purchase outright and the latter has an invite system.

So the G3 it was, and I'm very made up that I have it :-)

To me, its the camera and build. Its a perfect mix between the good stuff Samsung and HTC have. I have no real complaints aside from PMA charging on the ATT version.

I wanted 32gb internal storage & sd slot. Didn't want to wait for the note 4.

Samsung Moment->HTC EVO->EVO LTE->L3 G3

got bored of the g3 so i had to get the latest smart phone. so far its been good. small glitches like the aux for my older car but i've figured a way around it to have it working.

Cheap ($100 with a new contract, offer ended already, I just barely made it), a gamble, meaning I don't have a million friends that have it, making it unique, the screen real estate, and definitely the QHD screen, I'm sorry, if you can't notice the difference then speak for yourself, I noticed it immediately after picking up the phone and still see how crisp it is!

Choose this because I previously had an HTC Evo LTE and absolutely loved the LCD screen, but jumped to the S3 since wifey made me. Didn't like the amoled screen... Colors seems to me exaggerated or "in your face!". That's why I stuck with in even through the S5 release. Felt the S5 wasn't enough WOW factor for the update, but then this beauty of G3 came out. Totally caught my attention and absolutely loved the QHD screen quality way more than amoled. Hands down, this phone is awesome!

QHD screen and 4K video recording. Screen is smaller and camera isn't as nice as my Lumia 1520, but 5.5" is still a good size and the camera is still decent. Phone was only $50 w/ 2 yr contract. Additionally, the phone being compatible with PMA was a huge bonus, as I already have a couple of powermats laying around that I used with my L1520.

Overall, great phone. I've no major complaints.

I had the G2 and loved it with the exception of no sd card slot and non removable battery. I had to upgrade to the G3 for these reasons. LG g3 is a top contender. It's simple to use and I get great battery life. I didn't plan on the upgrade and was an impulse buy. I sure am glad I have it.
