Ever since the JB update, my phone is taking almost 5 minutes to boot. Is anyone else having this issue. I checked the forums and didn't see anything. Hope it not just me.

It should approach normal boot times after a while... when JB first came out many of us dealt with what seemed like ridiculously long boot times, as there are new file system checks the system does on boot. Give it some time or a few reboots to see if it will improve on its own. :)

I have seen alternating ~5 minute and ~30 second reboots. I'll try a factory reset if the thing keeps behaving like this.

Did your reboot ever get any better? My phone does the same thing. At least 5 Minutes to start up. My wife has a nexus and they both updated to JB Saturday morning. Her phone boots in less then 30 seconds. I timed my phone and it took 3 minutes to just boot passed the Google screen.

Mine has long boot times. I have the boot loader unlocked and rooted. My wife's is completely stock and boots in under a minute. Both on jb. Hers is official and mine is built from jro03r asop.

Mine also mostly has the long boot times, though sometimes it boots quickly. Very odd.

Updated to JB 4.1 yesterday afternoon and rebooted late last night. No root, locked.

The Google logo stayed on so long, I thought it had stalled/frozen and so I pulled the battery.
Same the second time, but after 2-3 minutes, the Google logo changed to the multi-color "X".
Several minutes later, I glanced over and briefly saw an "App Updated" message and the phone
finished booting to my normal home screen.

Just rebooted and Google logo changes to colored "X" and displayed home screen in about
30 secs. Miss the multi-colored fractal-like splash screen, tho ...

Yeah in the future don't do the battery pull until it's been on the Google splash screen for a long time... I've had it take over 5 minutes myself to get passed it, earlier in JB life. As I said, over time its corrected on its own, my boot times are normal now.

This. I once timed a boot at 17 minutes on the splash screen--and it still booted up. Have patience :).

so i just rooted and installed font installer and installed some fonts and they required a reboot so i rebooted and an hour later it still has not rebooted. i restarted the phone and wiped the cache and rebooted through clockmod and nothing, still taking forever to reboot. i didnt do that nandroid backup or anything what do i do.

i am now doing this, lets see if it works: Go to recovery and wipe cache then advanced and wipe dalv cache then fix permissions then reboot.
