My s3 has decided that it will reboot once a day. It usually happens in the evening while I'm in an app, just sitting idle or charging. This never happened with jelly bean. Can't wait til January 1st when I can retire it and get the latest and greatest.

That kind of behavior can be due to various issues, like wonky temporary system data in the cache partition, a misbehaving app or a corrupt SD card. Try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the system cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-into-recovery-mode-galaxy-s2-s3-tab2.html.

You could also see how the phone works without the SD card. Unmount it (Settings>Storage), remove it, and reboot.

Thanks. I wiped the cache and my s3 did not reboot in its own. YAY

Great! Keep an eye on things and see if the problem comes back any time soon.

Going to set up a Google keep reminder to swipe the cache every 2 weeks.
