Receive and read emails on device WITHOUT synching to exchange server

Hi All,

We would like to setup Android devices (for example a Samsung Galaxy S3) with an exchange email account. This is easy enough but this is our problem:

We need to be able to receive, view and reply to emails BUT for them not to be processed on our Exchange Server when doing so. The reason for this is that it is a Departmental/Group mailbox that other users need to use. If emails are read on the android phone and marked as read, then users in our office won't know whether the request has been actioned or not.

This is a MAJOR issue for us and would appreciate all the help we could get.
