So I received my new nexus 7 2013 edition today, but I have some questions.

1. Was there supposed to be two updates to the firmware? When I first turned on a set up the sick it did a firmware update, maybe to 4.3. But then once I got to the home screen I checked if the phone had the latest firmware, and it said it had to install a update again. Was there two updates this was supposed to get?

2. Also I noticed the first few apps I opened and tried to set up, the apps froze for a few second and then the characters I started typing appeared.
Could this have been a SwiftKey issue? I haven't noticed again outside of happening in those two apps (last pass and the Kindle app)

3. Is there a tab in the play store that shows all the tablet optimized apps?

Other than that, I'm liking it so far.

1. Yes, the tablet shipped with 4.3, but there were two minor updates the first or second day it was available for sale.

2. I didn't notice this, but I had the tablet about a week before I broke down and bought the SwiftKey tablet version.

3. As far as I've seen, no there doesn't appear to be a way to filter for just tablet optimized apps in the Play store. Most of the apps I've tried have looked just fine on the bigger screen though.

Enjoy the new tablet!

At point 3 no unfortunately, apps are designed to re-arrange themselves for larger screens. I just prefer the iOS implementation where you can CLEARLY see what ones are/aren't tablet optimised.

3. In the Play Store the "All Apps" is a drop down menu with one of the options being "Designed for Tablets".

You have to choose "Top Free", "Top Paid", etc, first in order to get the drop down menu.
