Up until this Android 9 update was shoved down my throat, I could easily lock an app so it wouldn't close when I hit the close all apps button by pressing a little padlock icon in the recent apps view.
I can't find any way of doing this now, which is distressing since I used this feature ALL the time in previous android versions, as some apps need to always run in the background to work properly & to show up in the notifications bar for easy access.
Also, apps that were locked before the update & showed that padlock icon in the recent apps view - when I touch that icon it disappears, never to be found again. Not only that, ALL apps disappear from the recent apps view & only show up after a phone restart!
I know Android wouldn't leave an aging user like me out in the desert without a way to scratch his way back to Android happiness - PLEASE HELP!
I'm using a Huawei Honor 9.
