I am trying to get an idea on the Lenovo tablets that utilize android. Can someone with the tablet give there recommendations, pros and cons. I don't have a set price range for this android tablet established, anything will work. Let me know what Lenovo model you are talking about.
I have a brand new Lenovo IdeaTAb Pro. I like it. It now comes with android 15 8gbRam, 128gb onboard external storage, and expandable SD slot. Mine came with a pen which I will not using.
Wish I had waited one week to buy, you can buy it alone without the stylus for writing and drawing.
It is great specially if you are a basic user: movies, some games, email, internet, etc. If you are a power user, they try to push you up the tree.
One thing. Lenovo is a chinese company based in China. As a Chinese company, they do have to follow CCP restrictions and limitations and access. There is a better chance of data being used and being spied on with such a company, but if you have nothing that you care if anyone sees, it doesn't matter much, I suppose. I am not complaining. I bought one. And, if you ask Goodgle AI Gemini about Lenovo being a Chinese company, the AI will tell you the same thing. So, I am not venturing into some conspiratorial waters here. I doubt the threat is very real for average users.
Oh, it does come loaded with quite a few games that is just bloatware to me. I deleted most of them. I left a couple in case I was feeling lazy. OH. And, if you use any of their productivity apps, you might think about the fact that they too, like Google, want to keep your stuff on their servers in the cloud. I think they may give you the option to save to your own on board storage. All the Google apps are available.
I am only sharing this because I think it would be important to some people. But, I had a Lenovo laptop many years ago that did well and this tablet is for light duty use.
