Recommendations for Phone App Replacements?

Hey All:

The Pixel's built-in Phone app is lousy so I started using TruCaller -- until I realized TruCaller blocks voicemail notifications and I need to check manually to see if I've got voicemail. That's seriously lousy.

Anyone have other recommendations? I tried TruCaller for its anti-spam capabilities and it was relatively solid, although it was sort of aggressively rabid about taking over my SMS messaging as well. Happy with Handcent or whatever it's called these days so all I need is a useful, lightweight, non-invasive phone client.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Personally I love the stock dialer and it's probably one of the last apps I'd ever consider replacing

Loathe the stock app - the photo contacts are a pain and force me to conform to how it's set up as opposed to allowing me to configure it how I want it. No speed dials in 2017? Seriously?

You can create a folder that has direct calls. The direct call is a widget under the contact app.

Makes complete sense. Take something simple like providing a dialer with basic speed dial functionality and reinvent the wheel. Not that much to ask for -- speed dial...but good thing they provided picture dialing in its place. Brilliant.

The stock Google phone app is the best out there. IMO. Try looking at one of the LG dialers.
