I have an HTC Inspire phone. Is there a way to record conversation/calls from both sides ?

I've been searching for such an app or solution for a while now... Didn't get anything other than some solutions recording voice of other party over speaker.

I was looking for some solution that can capture thesound streams internally, without relying on sound from phone's speaker.

Try Total Recall available at Android Market . Well worth the $ but try the free trial first. Standard settings worked for my inspire.
