Recover automatically deleted photos after a failed transfer from phone to PC?

I tried to cut and paste the entire Camera folder from my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to my computer hard drive (I connected the phone to the PC with a USB cable). I tried this operation twice and in both cases I had to interrupt the process because it simply wouldn't work. Then I disconnected the phone and after a while, all the photos in the camera folder suddenly disappeared, completely deleted from the internal storage of the phone. Is there any chance of getting these photos back?

Welcome to the forums. I am not aware of any recovery methods, aside from the device being rooted and having recovery apps already in place. Deletions in Android are hard to recover. The files are marked for overwriting, and any new data you acquire will write over that data.

I usually copy/paste, then delete when transferring to my PC. I also use Google photos, as they automatically back up when connected to wifi.
