The Admiral ships with a scaled down recovery.
When powered off, press the M + R keyboard keys.
Press and release the power button.
Continue to hold the M + R key until the big red "M" ball gives way to an exclamation point, surrounded by a white triangle.
Press both vol+ and vol- keys and a recovery menu appears.
One of the recovery menu choices is to apply update from sdcard ...
As an experiment, I used the Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen to cook up something simple; a different battery charge taskbar icon. UOT Kitchen output a zip file that you should be able to flash with a recovery.
I have tried copying this update.zip to both sdcard_ext and a physical sdcard. In both instances, when I choose the option in recovery to apply update from sdcard, the tool says:
E:failed to mount /sdcard (Device or resource busy)
At which point I am returned to the recovery menu choices.
Any thoughts or insight into what I might be able to do to get this limited version of recovery to flash a simple theme update.zip?
Best regards,
