Is there a way to prevent the phone from resetting once the password is entered incorrectly 10 times?
I set a password on my phone a few days ago. Right after, I tried entering the password and it kept saying incorrect. The phone then went black and at the top, in blue said recovery reboot and there was an android guy on the screen and it said erasing. I immediately removed the battery. I attempted to turn the phone on today by holding down the power, volume up and home buttons. I was thinking that maybe if it opened in that screen, I could at least back it up to my computer. But, I saw the little android guy and I again pulled the battery as fast as I could.
There is a lot on that phone that I desperately need! Is there a way to stop it from erasing? Or is there a way to back it up before I turn it back on at it continues to reset? I AM DESPERATE!!

You probably set it to do that at Samsung's site. After the 9th time, I would have turned it off there, before trying the 10th time.

After you send a password reset to the phone, it takes 24 hours for it to take effect. The old password is still the phone's password until then.

I turned it off after the 9th time and pulled the battery out for an hour. I thought maybe that would reset the number of times I tried. Apparently it didn't and it went black w/out warning. I'm so mad at myself. I need so much off that phone.
