when I boot into recovery I get the one with blue text, I am guessing this is blue recovery. Then I apply the update.zip and it goes green text, is this red cwr or green cwr and how do I get red if this is not it?

You are using the old (green CWM) - If you have EB01 or DL30 you need to get a copy of either the zip or the Odin file here

Ok got that zip on the base of my sd card now what? Im totally new to this. I am running the debloated froyo

Just do what you did to get in green cwm. It should be red,and if so you can now flash themes.
