Red exclamation on wifi??

The pull down quick settings I have a red circle with a white exclamation in the center on top of my wifi label. Can someone please tell this knucklehead what this is. I saw someone else asking the same question and no one could help him on a different site.

I think that is the icon that means there is a open network is available within scanning range. I remember seeing it but I always turn off network notification so it doesn't pop up for me.

I also have my network notification shut off so I don't think it could be that. This is bugging the hell out of me now. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I don't think it means anything....pretty sure that's just an icon and it never changes.

Same here... I figured it was just an icon.

I think the new icon is just that. The first time i saw it i thought i wasn't connected, but i know I am and the icon is the same...
