red LED blinking for unknown reason. is my device spoilt?

It just happened today and there it goes again after disappearing for some time... btw did this happen to anyone before?

Just today I realized that the red LED keeps on blinking even when I turned off the device. The battery is not low, now 52%. Why is this happening? My phone is only 4 days old. Help...

Well, I have uninstalled the android central app from my phone and the flashing stopped for some time. im not totally sure, but this might be the cause. in the future I will use android central via my laptop only.

This did not work... flashing started again and it happens on an irregular basis. Does anyone know why is this happening even though my battery is not low? If not then tomorrow I have to go back to the store already...
