RED X while trying to charge my Galaxy Tab 2

I have 2 galaxy Tab 2 10.1 since the latest update a few weeks ago my battery will only charge while it is powered OFF. if i try to charge it while plugged in i get a RED X on the battery and it shows discharging in the settings.
My wife's does not do this so i tried her cable and plug and it still does the same thing.
i have tried all the tricks you read on the internet with no help. i think it is a software thing as i was fine before the update. ( Note it said not complete the first update and it re installed again and all worked)
Any Help????

Have you tried clearing cache in recovery?

Well that link was useless. I am using the Samsung provided charger.

Well then that's a head scratcher. I don't have any issues charging with the Samsung wall charger with my tablet. You may want to check the outlet that you're plugging the charger into. Either that or there may be something in the cable that you're using. I've had issues with my S3 charging my phone in the past. Tried charging it with a new cable plugged into a USB port in my wall charger and that solved the issue that I was having. Just a thought.

I'm having an charging issue with my Tab 2.
I always would be using my tablet and charge at the same time.
Now I only get red X on my battery symbol.
If I power off the tablet, it will charge.
It just won't charge with the power on or using tablet.
I'm using the factory Samsung charger.
Charger is goo, because it does charge when tablet is powered off.
Please help.

Replace your cable. Use one that is designed for synching with your computer, and that should do the trick.
