I have an icon on the top bar that looks like a refresh signal that constantly stays there throughout the day. I believe it is bogging my battery life down. Does anyone know why it's like this and how I can stop it? Thanks!

You have an app that is trying to refresh data. Try force closing apps that might auto refresh until it goes away. You can uninstall the offending app and reinstall it from the market if it is something you use a lot.

You were right psaurus81. Refresh symbol went away when I force closed a running app. Unfortunately, it is an app that came preloaded on my phone and I can't get rid of it. I did look at sync though and noticed that the symbol for that is slightly different. Arrows are on top and bottom not side by side.

What app was it? My husband's phone is doing the same thing and he said it's draining his battery.
