Regularly switching between the Note and an iPhone

As the title would suggest, I have both the Note 10 plus and a iPhone 11 Pro Max. When I move my sim card from the iPhone to the Note it's pretty seamless, I really don't have any issues aside from a few apps that I have to tweak, (such as Cyclemeter). However, when switching back to the iPhone it seems that my voicemail doesn't switch back correctly. As you know, an active iPhone comes standard with visual voicemail. (FOC). When I switch from the Note back to the iPhone, the visual voicemail never switches back, without having VZW reprovision the service. Instead, every time someone leaves me a voicemail, I get a garbled text message hinting about visual voicemail, then when I click on the voicemail tab and instead of seeing the voicemail I just have the soft key to dial my voicemail provider. Have any of you who regularly switch back and forth dealt with this issue?

Hi, im going go with something on Verizon side , I have my AT&T and Tmobile sims between my iPhone 11pro and 4 other Android and haven't seen that issue.

Thanks for the response, I kinda thought this was a Verizon issue. Either I don't switch between the two or I but Verizon every time I do.

See if they have those promo going on where you can have another line free , did that with TMobile and got 2 lines free and just pay tax which is like 3 or 4 dollars on each .

Hello. I am on Sprint and swap back and forth between same two phones. They each have their own Sim and when I activate the iPhone I have to set up voice mail all over. Of course I always forget until I got and check to see if there is a voice mail for a call I didn't answer. Not sure why it does it, just that it doesn't seem to be a Verizon only thing.

OP issue is little different, has one sim card and switches between the 2 phones .

OP,

I do the same. The issue is with Verizon. iPhone and Android uses a different type of visual voicemail, hence when you switch between the two. It doesn't switch out until Verizon enables that feature. If you notice, with iPhones, it is embedded with IOS. With Android, you have to download an app called voicemail. Another bit of advice, before switching from iPhone to Android, remember to disable iMessage.

Yes, every single time I re register ANY iPhone (sim) to the network. Doesn't have to be from an Android, it could be switching from an iPhone to another iPhone too. It's really irritating and requires either a factory reset or a call to the provider network support group to reset on the provider end. Iphone 8+ and Xr. Both Apple and the provider just finger point to one another for blame on the issue.

I will add the Pixel 4 works flawlessly every time I re register it so I suspect Apple is the culprit..

I deal with this annoyance as well. When switching from the Note 10+, l'll put my sim in the iPhone and then initiate a chat on my verizon and ask to re-enable visual voicemail.
