I am trying to reinstall the stock recovery to my HTC Rezound to get the OTA update. I seem to be brain dead and can't seem to do it. Here is what I did. Hope somebody can straighten me out.

I power on the phone to be sure that USB Debugging is selected and it is.
I connect the phone using the USB cable and run adb devices. The device is found.
I run adb reboot bootloader and the phone reboots into HBoot.
I run adb devices and the phone is no longer found and so I can't do the reinstall.

What am I missing? If I understand things correctty, once the phone is recognized I can flash the recovery but I can't get the phone recognized.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I managed to get the device recognized so sorry for my previous post but now I have another problem. I cannot install the recovery that I have. Can somebody post a link to the latest stock recovery? Thanks.

The stock recovery is on androidfiles.org/ruu/
Look for Vigor in the list of phones on the screen, click on vigor.
Screen that pops up will have 4 or so files listed on it.
The top one, 604 mb, is the most current stock ruu. Minus the current aggravating update popups.
Make sure your battery has good or full charge.
Download that exe to computer. Plug in phone. Follow the prompts exactly.
It will wipe your phone.
Set up your google account first. Let it find and do the latest ota updates.
Setup your phone from there.
This will have you up to date, stock, unrooted.

I am hoping someone sees this quickly. LOL. To get the latest OTA I had to go back to stock from rooting. While trying to root again I am stuck in bootloader. A recovery does come up, but I think the ROM is gone. I have tried the RUU from android files. It does not complete. The phone says that Hboot is older. And the program on my PC does not give any additional info.

I tried placing the ROM as a zip file on the external sd card. When trying to flash from the card it says:

E: Can't open /sdcard/ph98img.zip (bad)

Installation aborted
E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p36 (file exists)
E: Can't mount CACHE: recovery/log

Let the exe file run all the way thru. Mine said it had older version too. Told it to continue. That program takes a while to run on computer.

I have tried several times. The desktop returns the same "Unknown error [155]" each time. There is no progress bar on the screen of the phone. Should the desktop RUU fix the mounting problems mentioned earlier? I have tried running the RUU with both locked and unlocked boot loader. I have tried flashing Amon RA 3.16 recovery. I kind of tried Parted to fix the partitions... but don't fully understand that program.
