I recently got an HTC VIVID and had the apps I wanted installed on it, Pinterest, Shazam etc. Just a few of the free ones. I was having issues with the device, and now have a new HTC Vivid. Problem being, when I go to reinstall or download these apps they are telling me that I already have them. I am afraid I should have uninstalled them first from non working device?? I did a factory reset on the old device to clear the phone before sending it back. In hindsight perhaps this was wrong. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I just want to get the apps to the new phone.

That's strange. When my first Vivid was replaced due to a faulty headphone jack, I installed my desired apps again without any problems. Nothing was done to the old phone. When the 2nd phone screen died, they replaced it but I didn't do anything special to the dead phone and I had no problem getting my apps.

Yeah...that doesn't sound right...have you tried "Clear Data" under Google Play Store?

Similar situation. My Galaxy Note was lost. I wish to place my apps to my new Galaxy MEGA. In Play Store they show as installed. Is there a way to do that as Play Store doesn't seem to show how?
