Ok so I know how to rekey the side button, however, there is no Google Assistant app? Correct me if I am wrong, however, is Google Assistant not built in? I found a Google Assistant app and installed it, still cannot select that app to use instead of Bixby. Has anyone successfully got this to work?

Thanks!

It should be pre installed with the shown icon. Uninstall any fake GA app you've dl.
Good luck

I did not have that icon prior to download, I have that icon now, however, cannot map it to the side button...were you able to map Google Assistant to your side button?

Samsung blocks other Assistants from being used with the button. You'll need to install a Bixby remapper app that launches Google Assistant. Here's a link to the XDA article. Just install the apk and point it to that Bixby Assistant Remapper app. I have confirmed this works.

I thought they did away with that block on the Note 10+
Nope, they allow you remap to anything other than other Assistants. I personally still keep the double press to launch my camera and since I use One Hand Operation+ from the Samsung Galaxy app store I use the diagonal up gesture to launch Google Assistant.

You can remap the side key on the Note10/+.
Go to Settings > Advance Features > Side Key > Open App - Press the Gear Icon and select Google Assistant.

Alternatively, you can still use the Home button and long press or slow swipe up to bring up Google Assistant. And if you wanted something else, you can now remap that action to something else in the Default App Setting.

Google Assistant doesn't show as an available app when the gear is pressed.

My plan was to have double press to launch the camera and hold the button to launch Google Assistant.

Doesn't look like it's possible1567572904621.jpeg
