Just wondering if there is a way to disable or remove the default samsung task killer?

You shouldnt need to, this task manager is not like the task killers everyone is talking about. It doesnt show you critical processes only active apps.

+1. This is a task manager, not a task killer. I've never seen anyone try and remove it, and I think doing so is going to cause quite a bit of problems.

Are you having a problem with it?

Been reading on a bug in some of the fascinates phones. Where when you are on a call then pull the phone away it goes to the lock screen. Someone said theirs was cause by a task killer stopping a certain process wasn't sure if it was this or not.

Basically just trying to fix this issue for the wife.

it wouldn't have been the stock task manager, but rather a 3rd party task killer.

i'm pretty sure samsung would have at least the coding know how as to not let their own apps kill parts of their own os. :p

This would be a 3rd party task killer, like ATK. Not the task manager.

Well she defiantly does not have a 3rd party task killer so I am not sure why this is happening will keep searching google for other ideas.

Thanks guys.

removing stock task manager?

Is there a way to remove the stock task manager? I don't like the fact how it closes my apps when i turn off the screen!

there's a thread about this literally less than 10 posts below yours.

delete jobmanager.apk (make a backup!) and it should go away.
