I usually put my phone on my desk to listen to music or play with games. I noticed the back of my phone was really scratched. What do you think I could use to remove the scratches from the bottom plastic bump?

I would just search Google for ways to buff minor scratches off plastic material typically used in cell phones, if there is even a way to do it. Then I'd get at least some kind of case if you lay it down a lot. I'd suggest TPU-cases.com. It's a minimal solution that will protect the back hump from scratches. Mine has been in a TPU case since day one.
I have a TPU case it isn't bad but I noticed it, like many cases, also scratches the bezel of the phone. Had the same problem with the seidio case on an original epic. Figure if it'll scratch it too might as well take my chances naked and just use the case later to cover them up. I guess dust gets in the case and scratches the softer parts, who knows
I have used TPU cases on my last three phones and have never had a scr on any of them. This case doesn't move so how in the heck are you getting scratches? I shoot pictures at the beach all if the time and while I have had sand on the front it has never gotten inside the TPU case edges?
Had it on for three days and took it off and could see very fine scratches started to form along the side, not really sure. Hard to see them but with the seidio experience I'd rather not wait for them to become very apparent like they were on my epic
I think the bezel around the phone is metal and not plastic like everyone is saying! I have a small deep scratch on the back hump and there is silver under there so it's got to be metal.
