remove work location from now

I find answers to change work location in Google Now,but i can't find how to remove it. I am Now self employed so i don't have a fix work place anymore.

Anyone knows how to remove it ? Thanks

1. On your desktop, open Google Maps while logged into your Google account.

2. Click the gear icon at the lower right, then My Places.

3. On the left column, click the dropdown arrow for "Work," and click Delete.

That ought to do it!

well,
there's no gear icon in the lower right corner (i'm on https://maps.google.be/ and i am logged)
the "my places" is in the upper left part. i click it, and there is already nothing written in "work" ... however i look on google now on my mobile and in the options, the work place is well set... (and yes, i'm using the same account on both)....

any other idea ?

Hmm. I've looked around, and can't find a clear way to delete it. Will keep looking.

It's not a gear. (At least not to me.) https://maps.google.com/

Click on My Places on the left. Click on the arrow next to Work and you should see a delete choice.

yes except that google now is not linked to google maps... given that i already have deleted the work place, it says now "set work place" so it's not set... which doesn't prevent Google Now from setting one on its own.

It's strange, because all these Google services should be linked. Still looking into this.

Hmmm... I think it is linked. If you want to test, go to the maps page and create a new work location. Let it sync and see if Google Now picks it up.

PS: A little hard for me to be more specific as I have a Nexus 5 with Kit Kat now and there may be subtle differences. My Google Now does not mention work place at all.
