...on my Huawei p30 pro. Since my very first smartphone got dropped on it's first day and landed face down on the street receiving three signiciant dings in the screen, I've used a case and a screen protector. My screen protector on the Huawei was curved glass and fit well but it's oleophobic coating was a joke. It got fingerprints like magic and was resistant to cleaning.

Yesterday I took it off and threw it away. I had ordered a new, and different brand, of screen protector.

I used the phone awhile without the screen protector and was amazed at how much better the gestures navigation works. I used to have to repeat gestures more often than not and no I don't. The gestures and quick and snappy. The bare screen, I removed the film protector that was on the screen at purchase, also has great oleophobic properties.

I know it won't last forever but I'm happy now.

Using a phone like that is always a beautiful experience. Enjoy! What new screen protector did you order?

I have an Ibywind tempered glass .33mm and allegedly is strong, oleophobic, water repellant and transparent--duh. I harbor a suspicion that all glass screen protectors come out of the same factory in China and are simply sold under different names.

I understand your conundrum. I have an S10 and it has been quite difficult to find a screen protector to not only cover the display but also fits well. I had to order directly from Samsung.

Let us know how your screen protector fares!

I ordered a glass screen protector from Amazon and ended up breaking it trying to get the bubbles out. Haven't used one since.

And a glass protector on a DSLR screen saved me a lot of money. If I were buy $150 phones I might not bother but $750 is worth a protector.

After having one protector that collected fingerprints and another that was missing a cutout needed for the notch I really wish manufacturers would "endorse" accessories. I've gotten burned with a lot of accessories for phones--such as cases that don't fit--and accessories for other items--such as my Kindles--and Amazon has been great about refunding my money or helping me get the issue resolved but sometimes it's not worth the hassle.

So, Huawei, recommend a holster for the Huawei P30 pro and a glass oleophobic screen protector.
