Removing dust in speaker grills

What's the best way to remove dust in the speakergrills? Annoyingly there is dust in the speaker hole which is the notification light one so it blocks must of the light

Canned air. Like such you use for computers. Be careful, though.

Won't that just push the dust further into the grill and through the other side though? I was thinking a strong vacuum haha but it doesn't seem to pull it out

I've used canned air on several of my phones speaker grills, and such, and it's done the trick for me. Lol

What Matthews said! Don't go full force inside of the speaker grill. It does work and it should be fine. I have not gotten anything in my speaker grill yet. Had it a little over a month too.

Get a decent vacuum, use a small attachment end, then tape a drinking straw to the end...then use the straw, pinching it down some if necessary, to get it real good. Works like a charm for me.

At work we use small fine hair paint brushes cut down short to clean speaker grills, data ports and other small cracks and crevices..

Playing loud pulsing tones utilises the speakers to blow the dust out and is safer than vacuuming or blowing air into the speaker.

Put your mouth on the grill and inhale...That's what I do

I just use a toothbrush and vacuum the dust particles that come out. Works perfectly every time.

Here is a solution to the dusty grill problem. Had a problem with my brothers phone and after following this worked as good as new.

I had the bottom speaker sounding loud and clear, and the top speaker muffled to begin with.
I did the following and now both speakers sound loud and clear.

1. Play some high bass music (in repeat mode)
2. take a toothbruth or any fine brush... dip it in rubbing alcohol/spirit and make circular motions on the grill (better to hold the phone over your head with the grill facing down towards the ground... )
3. [Optional] Use a vacuum cleaner (while holding the grill facing down), and run over the grill (my vacuum cleaner had a special attachment with a tiny hole... suitable for micro vacumming) ... to suck out alcohol/dirt
4. Wipe grill with a soft cloth

Repeat this process until the speaker sounds satisfactory (I had to do it 3-4 times).
