Removing Google apps from Turbo 2

Recently, I've been thinking about removing Google apps from my phone, both to free up space, and also for privacy (I know, they're not exactly privacy oriented, and knew that going in).

Will removing Google apps cause any issues with my phone operating the right way, or will it be fine?

I'm trying to keep my phone as lean as I can on apps where I can.

Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks,

You can't uninstall all system apps, what apps do you want to uninstall ?
however, google apps (i.e G+,Google contacts, Google phone) are safe to be deleted and won't cause any sort of issues but you should find alternatives.

Good point. Wasn't looking to uninstall all system apps, but some stuff like the Google search app, Moto, Voice Search, etc.

I figured that maybe it would keep my device free of apps I don't use.

At one point, I thought I read a post with someone disabling a bunch of apps, and their device got stuck in a boot loop.

As I recall, the only way out was an FDR, and I'd like to avoid that, if I can.

Mine seems to work pretty well with the new update.

Lots of folks got bad updates, from what I've read, though.
