Removing Superuser on DX2

My POS DX2 that they sent as a replacement a few months back, is back to being the same finicky POS that I have come to expect from it!! Today, the camera/video decided it will no longer "initiate" and after several attempts at turning it on/off/on again the POS still won't take pics/videos anymore.

Gonna give those fine individuals at Assurion a call tomorrow to see about getting another one, but my problem, while it is updated to 2.3.4 and now unrooted because of the update, I still see the Super User icon on the menu. If I send this phone back, will those idiots not possibly use this as a reason to charge me the fee to replace a phone that is defective for other reasons?

How can I remove this Super User Icon so that it won't show up? Thanks in advance.

Brad

You can use petes one click root/un root method. To unroot phone. You could also try just factory reset if you have un rooted.

Ill try a factory reset then. Apparently it unrooted the phone when I updated? But, that was also where the problems seem to have started, as usual!!?? Thanks.

Well of course that wouldn't be good enough to completely eff up everything on my phone and STILL HAVE SUPERUSER ON IT!! I really do hate the DX or DX2 more than anyone could imagine!! It will def. be my last motorola phone when I upgrade.

Talked to the fine folks at Asurion and they are going to send a replacement. Any last tips on how to remove the SuperUser Icon? I tried a factory reset which did nothing but delete everything and NOT the superuser icon?

Has anyone sent the phone back with this on there and had problems?????

I have not SBF'd. I did that once with help, but honestly I don't think I can remember the exact steps on doing it? Ill do a search, but seems that I tried following the directions before without luck?

When I was going through the exact same process, I was told that you cannot remove SUPER USER unless you are already rooted. IF not already rooted, then you have to SBF. Hope this helps...It worked for me!

If you SBF, it should remove all traces of root. Its not that hard. Maybe all together its a few steps. The RSD process takes some time but you dont have to do anything with that. Just start it and let it do its thing. It might even fix your camera problems.
