Repeat contacts ...nothing is working

I just got the MT4G and I love it.
I have my contacts set up on the view so I can only see the ones saved on my phone (that way I can add contact pictures)

But here is where it gets tricky:
Whenever I go to text someone (let's say John) I'll have 3-4 different numbers for John pop up

Facebook, the phone, the sim card and possibly my e-mail!

I made sure that I only have the one view in my contacts and there are no duplicates there but there are some when I text
(I also went into my gmail and deleted all of my contacts there. I've done everything I've searched)

Does anyone know how to get rid of it? I hate having to scroll down so much while searching for the right person! I've searched all over but can't find anything.

Unfortunately, even if you set the contacts app to display only 1 contacts list, when you text or do a search, all the contacts will popup. You can link your contacts, though.
