OK so this might be common knowledge, but I had to do a ton of googling to figure it out. So, I thought I might just throw this up here for those looking to replace the HTC slide (down) lock with the Vanilla slide (left) lock, found on the OG droids.

Device: Droid Incredible
OS: 2.2
ROM: stock 2.2, nothing custom
Rooted: rooted using UnrEVOked
Program used: Super Manager (free)

OK, so just open up Super manager>file explorer>go to top level of directory>sys>app> now locate HTCscreenlock.apk>long press>rename>rename to HTCscreenlock.bak>reboot.

You should now have the stock Vanilla lock screen.

I have always had trouble using a Sense Rom and changing the lock screen it always seems to mess up the clock/alarm just like you stated. I just downloaded Chingy new update to his Rom Incredibly Re-Engineered which has a thread he and he has the vanilla lockscreen baked in. I haven't had enough time to see if there are any issues with it but I thought I would mention it in case you wanted to check it out.

In removing the HTc Lockscreen, you do remove all features integrated in it (for example, alarm). To fix this, just install Deskclock.apk from Cyanogenmod6 (or any other AOSP froy rom). You can now use the alarm bundeled with this app.

Ya I'm fixing that now.
