Replaced LCD experiencing problems

Hello everyone this is my first post and I have a dilemma. I bought a nexus 7 on ebay with a broken screen and digitizer sl I bought a lcd with digitizer and relaced it. Now when I press power the screen will light up a dark blue and do nothing else. I have a new lcd flat data cable as well. The tablet makes noise and I heard it's alarm go off as well. I tried the hold power, hold piwet and volume down, checked the battery was in all the way and nothing is working. Anyone have any idea what it may be?

Went ahead and bought a mother board should fix my problem.

Wouldn't it have been easier to just buy a whole new tablet? How much could you possibly save with a total rebuild?

It actually didnt it only cost me 20 dollars for the tablet. However I replaced the motherboard and I am still experiencing the same issue
