My charger port fried from a corroded car charger, so I had the phone replaced.
I noticed a few things were different on the new one.

S pen seems bulkier, or firmer.
Battery life is significantly improved.
Home button is firmer.

Maybe the bad charging port wasn't charging completely?
Maybe they have improved the build quality or manufacturing process?

I would inspect the home button before buying my next Note 3.

Perhaps you got one of the ones that were rushed a little for launch, and now some of those issues have been addressed?

The only thing that annoys me is that my home button seems loose. It's pretty significant BUT it's ok. I'm not going to sweat it...yet...at least till it falls off or something of that nature.

But glad you're new N3 is better! :)
