Hey guys, I was wondering, are the phones that verizon is sending out for replacements, i.e., exchanging defective phones. Are they refurbs at this point.

My first droid x is getting replaced, due to dust under the screen. Now my concern is getting a phone that is worse then what I originally have.

The replacement came today, and of course it was just the phone, no battery, no back cover, no cables. Kind of what I expected. The phone is clean has no visible usage marks, no dust near the seals or seams, so it appears to be new but I'm not sure.

I have 10 days to send back my old one, so I want to put this new replacement through its paces making sure I don't drop calls, I drop data access, the screen works etc, etc.

I believe you just get a phone only - No retail packaging, chargers, cables, boxes, books, etc.

Should be a new phone at this point.

I have the phone in hand, but there's nothing with the packaging, or the phone that could lead me to believe its a refurb. Everything so far appears to be fine on the phone, though the speaker seems a little more "tinney" when using he speaker phone. Nothing major, and probably I'm being overly picky at this point.

While I already wiped my original phone, I'll probably put the battery back into that and compare the speaker and see if I notice any other irregularities
