replacing evo digitizer

Can anybody tell me if hardware version 0004 has the wide or narrow cable or do I have to open up the phone to find out?

Isn't the digitizer the same?

I thought it was the actual lcd that mattered in this case.

I've fixed a ton of that phone without a problem

just did this recently.

all digitizers are the same, its the LCD that has the different ribbon bands

Quick question for you since you have dont a lot of them:

Do you replace the adhesive when you swap digitizers and LCDs or do the part typically come with the adhesive applied?
Just wondering as I am replacing the LCD on my sister's evo this week, she dropped it hard and it now has a black screen. No cracks, just nothing displayed.
