[REQ][IDEA] Screenshot Button Binding

Hi,
Writing to see if this is even possible.
I remember when I had MIUI on my old nexus, they had come up with a Menu Button + Button Down combination that would take a screenshot, similar to the iphone, all without having to launch an app.

I was thinking that, since the optimus v already has some button combos (power + vol up = reboot), it might be possible to bind, for example, vol down + power for a screen shot.

Would it be possible or is that written at a lower level than rom?

+1 I really would like this idea I'm surprised cm7 hasn't incorporated it yet.

Sweet Lord that would be awesome! One of the devs is going to have to see if this is possible or if we are just dreaming.

I think there is file manager that allowed something similar where camera button would take a snapshot of the screen. I think it's Super manager but maybe it's something else. I have tried quite a few different file managers so can't be sure.
