Just curious if anyone with S9 or S9+ do NOT have this issue - image retention. That is, a temporary retention of pixels.

I'm curious to know whether this is universal for all AMOLED displays. I only started noticing this with my own AOD after over a month, so it makes me wonder if it was present "brand new".
 
That's normal for *OLED displays.

In real-life use, I only notice it with the AOD and if a specific background/wallpaper is used (eg. mostly grey or blue). Don't notice it otherwise. Therefore simple solution for me is to use a different background/wallpaper. I find the AOD useful enough not to disable it. But I'm quite sure this only started happening after over a month of use, which is a pity, as I never noticed it on my S7 after over 2 years of use.
