Reset and Samsung Pay

I have the Verizon Variant of the Gear S3 Frontier and just received the Tizen 3.0.0.1 update. I have read in several places (and being a long time android user) that doing a FR is not a bad idea after an update of this magnitude. OK, here's the question, if I do an FR, will I have to re-attach my credit cards to Samsung Pay on my S3? I'm not resetting my phone, just the watch. Anybody know?

Yes you'll need to re add. Cards may retain and only require a re activation. I've seen both cases with mine

Yeah, you'll have to set it all the way back up. Quite annoying in my opinion. I'm gonna try to get away without a factory reset first. If I have problems, then I'll go ahead and reset it.

Yea, I think I'm going to hold off on the FR. My wife works for my bank and they are ultra conservative and ultra security sensitive. The combination of her working there and their security makes getting stuff done, very difficult. Sounds counterintuitive, but unfortunately that's the way they roll. Thanks for the quick answers.
